Why this one
Your kitchen
Pilaf, lentil soup, mansaf, kunefe, kabsa. In Turkish and Arabic. Other apps do not know these dishes.
A range, not one number
Portion size cannot be known exactly from a photo. We say so instead of hiding it: 45-60 g, not 52 g.
It stays quiet when unsure
If the photo is not clear it will not invent a number; it asks you to type one. A wrong number is worse than none.
The record your doctor asks for, ready
The same question at every appointment: did you bring your readings? One page a week, in a table, with anything above target marked.

What it does not do
It does not diagnose and does not suggest doses. It is not a medical device.
It does not judge whether food is cooked through - that cannot be seen in a photo.
It does not replace your doctor. It makes keeping their record easier.

Common questions
Why did I get gestational diabetes? Did I eat too much sugar?
No. Eating sweets does not cause gestational diabetes; it comes from insulin resistance created by placental hormones. The risk factors are weight, age, family history and ethnicity. It is not something you did.
Do I still need a meter?
Yes, you measure with the glucometer your doctor gave you. No approved watch or ring measures glucose without piercing the skin. What we remove is the typing: photograph the meter screen and we read the number for you to confirm.
How accurate is the estimate from a photo?
Portion size cannot be known exactly from a photo, so we give a range rather than one number. When we are not sure we do not invent a figure; we ask you to type it. You can correct any estimate and your correction is kept.
Is my data shown to anyone?
No. Your readings, meals and photos are yours alone. Community figures come from anonymous totals and are not shown at all below thirty records. Delete your account and everything goes immediately and permanently.
Does this replace my doctor?
It does not. It does not diagnose, does not suggest doses, and is not a medical device. It makes keeping the record your doctor asked for easier, and puts it on one page for the appointment.
Which languages and cuisines does it know?
Turkish, Arabic and English. The food library is built on Turkish and Arab cooking: pilaf, bulgur, lentil soup, manti, borek, kunefe, mansaf, kabsa, hummus, foul.
